Luxury Aging in Place Pittsburgh Remodel

Trenton

This home’s 1920s Italian Renaissance architectural style became famous for small mansions built by wealthy industrialists. Resplendent woodwork throughout the three floors of this 5000-plus square foot home made for an easy decision lifestyle and aging-in-place enhancements such as an elevator and laundry closet tucked in next to the master suite.

Living, Elevated

A bathroom was relocated to make way for an elevator to provide access between three floors.

A pocket door separates the walk-in closet from the bathroom; a heated towel bar provides modern luxe.

Reinforced with protective glass, original stained glass windows became the focal point to make the room appear original to the architectural design. A modern upgrade and a heated tile floor are integral to the architectural integrity of the interior. The mosaic is hand-curated and designed by Junko.

  • Luxe spa features marry the best of Moen and Kohler with a custom shower glass by trade partner Rex Glass.
  • Vintage lighting fixtures were preserved and repurposed.
